Descrição:

THE ROLE:

Act as the person responsible for tax compliance management in Brazil, ensuring tax compliance, process governance, adherence to legislation, and risk mitigation, with strong interaction with internal areas (Logistics, Finance, Commercial, IT) and external partners (BPO, carriers, consultancies).


The position is part of a highly technical, collaborative, and continuously evolving Tax team, offering high exposure to the business and a real opportunity to make an impact within a dynamic, growing company that values its people.


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the tax focal point for ICMS, IPI, PIS/COFINS, ISS, withholding taxes, and ancillary obligations.
  • Actively participate in Tax Reform projects, with strong technical knowledge of the new IBS and CBS taxes, supporting impact assessments, process adaptations, and strategic discussions with business areas.
  • Act as a Business Partner to Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, and Commercial teams, leading technical discussions and translating tax risks in a clear, objective, and business-oriented manner.
  • Manage tax incentives and benefits applicable to the company, ensuring correct application, compliance with legal requirements, risk control, and continuous monitoring of related obligations and counterparties.
  • Manage and coordinate tax vendors and third parties (BPO, consultancies, and partners), ensuring technical quality, timely delivery, alignment with internal guidelines, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and support the proper fulfillment of ancillary obligations (SPED Fiscal, SPED Contributions, among others), working in close collaboration with internal teams and third parties.
  • Prepare and report tax information to Global leadership, ensuring alignment between local practices and corporate guidelines.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Tax Control Files and other tax governance documentation, ensuring consistency, proper evidence, and adherence to global internal controls.
  • Work closely with IT and systems teams, supporting tax configurations, system improvements, and process adherence within SAP ECC and TAXOne.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, tax inspections, and independent reviews, acting as the technical focal point and ensuring consistency of information and company positions.
  • Ensure the correct application of tax legislation to company operations, with a focus on goods movement, transportation, billing, and tax documentation.
  • Assess tax risks related to operational procedures (e.g., use of correction letters, carrier changes, redelivery, and NF-e flows), proposing solutions aligned with legislation and operational reality.
  • Continuously monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assessing impacts and ensuring clear and timely communication to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supervise and develop the Tax team, providing technical guidance, demand prioritization, professional development, and fostering a high-performance culture.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in Taxation (desirable).
  • Experience in multinational companies and prior experience in a BIG4 firm (desirable).
  • Advanced English (mandatory).


ESSENTIAL:

Strong knowledge of:

  • Indirect taxation in Brazil, including ICMS (domestic and interstate operations, transportation), PIS/COFINS, IPI, ISS, and withholding taxes.
  • Tax Reform – IBS and CBS.
  • Electronic tax documentation (NF-e, CC-e).
  • Ancillary obligations.
  • Tax controls and global and internal tax reporting.


PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN:

  • SPED Fiscal / SPED Contributions.
  • SAP ECC.
  • TAXOne.
  • BPO management.
  • Internal controls and tax compliance.
  • Tax–operations interface.
  • Logistics processes and goods movement.

  • Experience in consulting or BIG4 firms.
  • Participation in transformation, governance, or Tax Reform projects.
